Subject: Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination, 2021- Declaration of the final result- regarding.

The result of the Combined Graduate Level (Tier-III) Examination, 2021 was declared by the Commission on 20.12.2022 for shortlisting candidates to appear in the Skill Test/Document Verification of the Examination.

2. As per the Notice of the Examination, Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) and Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) are of qualifying nature. The CPT consists of three modules. Module-i is the Data Entry Speed Test (DEST) and the Module-II and III are Computer Proficiency Tests (CPT).

The cut-offs fixed for Module-I (DEST) and Module-II & III (CPT) are as under: -(i) Category-wise cut-off in Module-I (i.e. DEST) of CPT:

(ii) Category-wise cut-off marks in Module-II +III of CPT:

(iii) Cut-off in DEST for the posts of Tax Assistant: Category-wise cut-off fixed in DEST for the posts of Tax Assistant in CBDT, CBIC, and UDC/SSA in Central Bureau of Narcotics is given below:-

3. As per the provisions of the Notice of the Examination, merit has been prepared on the basis of scores of the candidates in the following Tiers/ Papers of the Examination: -

(i) Assistant Audit Officer and Assistant Accounts Officer (AAOs):-

Tier-I + Tier-II (Paper-I + Paper-II+ Paper-IV) + Tier-III

(ii) Junior Statistical Officer (JSO):-

Tier-I + Tier-II (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III) + Tier-III

(iii) Statistical Investigator Gr.II (SI):-

Tier-I + Tier-II (Paper-I + Paper-II + Paper-III) + Tier-III

(iv) All posts other than AAOs, JSO & SI:-

Tier-I + Tier-II (Paper-I + Paper-II) + Tier-III.

4. For the following posts, qualifying in CPT is mandatory:

(i) Assistant Section Officer in CSS (B03)

(ii) Assistant Section Officer in MEA (B06)

(iii) Assistant Section Officer in AFHQ (M/o Defence) (B07)

(iv) Assistant in Ministry of Mines (B20)

(v) Assistant in IMD (M/o Earth Science) (B22)

(vi) Assistant in NCLAT (B23)

(vii) Inspector (Central Excise) in CBIC (B25)

(viii) Inspector (Preventive officer) in CBIC (B26)

(ix) Inspector (Examiner) in CBIC (B27)

5. For the posts of Tax Assistant in CBDT and CBIC (Postcode D52 & D53 respectively) and UDC in Central Bureau of Narcotics, qualifying in DEST is mandatory. However, eligible OH candidates were exempted from appearing in DEST for the post of Tax Assistant in CBDT (Postcode D52).

6. Resolution of Tie Cases: As per provisions under Notice of the Examination, in the event of tie-in scores of candidates in Tier-I+Tier-II+Tier-III Examinations, merit has been decided by applying the following criteria, one after another in the given order, till the tie is resolved:

(i) Total marks of relevant papers in Tier-II Examination.

(ii) Total marks in Tier-III Examination.

(iii) Date of birth, with the older candidate, placed higher. (iv) Alphabetical order in which the names of the candidates appear.

7. As per the provisions of the Notice of Examination, allocation of posts to eligible candidates has been made on the basis of merit-cum-preference of posts given by the candidates at the time of Document Verification. A total of 7541 candidates have been provisionally recommended for appointment. The category-wise breakup of the finally selected candidates is as follows:

11. One post of Statistical Investigator Grade-II is kept vacant in compliance with the Order dated 22.02.2023 of the Hon’ble CAT, Calcutta Bench in O.A. No. 224/2023.

12. This result is subject to the final Orders of the Hon’ble CAT, Jabalpur Bench in O.A. No. 173/2023.

13. If a candidate is finally selected and does not receive any correspondence from the Commission or the User Department concerned within a period of one year after the declaration of the result, he/she must bring this to the notice of the concerned User Department immediately.

14. Detailed marks of the selected and non-selected candidates will be uploaded on the website of the Commission on 23.03.2023. This facility will be available from 23.03.2023 to 06.04.2023. Candidates may check their individual marks by using their Registered ID and password.
